The Golden Mediterranean
Highlights of This Tour:

The wonders of Turkey don't end at the water's edge. The shoreline is a land of sheer cliffs framing crystal-clear coves, wetlands teeming with aquatic life, deep green forests contrasting with the subtly shifting milky greens and vivid blue hues of the magical Mediterranean... It was here, in this spectacular paradise, that successive civilizations rose and fell. It was here, in this hauntingly beautiful, life-giving land that Man flourished, devoting himself to Art, Philosophy, Medicine, Music, Architecture... There's no better way to explore this part of Turkey than to cruise along the rugged coastline by boat.

In this program, we give you the opportunity to sample the best of sea and land, combining overnight stays in fine hotels with three nights at sea - and we also keep the concerns of travelers with time and budget limitations in mind, providing you superior value for money. We take overland excursions to some of the most striking archeological sites in the world and also organize boat excursions to Simena, an ancient submerged city, and the Lycian rock tombs of Caunos.

As always, we provide air-conditioned, comfortable transport and professional drivers, an experienced crew and captain, accommodations in top hotels, knowledgeable, friendly guides and an itinerary that helps you get the most out of your stay in Turkey. Relax, marvel at the glories of the Mediterranean. And leave the rest to us.

Detailed Itinerary:

1st Day... Board your sailing yacht in Marmaris in the afternoon. Enjoy a welcome drink and receive a brief orientation on the yacht and the cruise. Dinner and overnight on our yacht in Marmaris Harbor

Dalyan

2nd Day... We begin sailing after breakfast, reaching Ekincik after about two hours.
Depending on the wishes of the group, we take an excursion to the ancient city of Caunos, where you'll be amazed by the Lycian rock tombs carved out of the sheer cliff sides. You also have an opportunity to take a mud bath in the curative hot springs the area is famous for. We can also cruise through the watery maze of reeds on the delta of the Dalyan River to Iztuzu, a sandy, expansive beach that is one of the last nesting grounds of the endangered loggerhead Caretta Caretta turtles. Dinner and overnight on our yacht in one of Ekincik's bays

Manastir Bay

3rd Day… After breakfast, cruise approximately three and a half hours to Agalimani, located just behind Kurdoglu Bay, for lunch and a swimming stop. Early in the afternoon, we arrive in Manastir Bay. Dinner and overnight on our yacht in Manastir Bay

Oludeniz, Fethiye

4th Day… Depart Manastir after breakfast. Cruise in Fethiye Gulf and, depending on weather conditions, visit other charming bays, as well as Tersane Island and Yassica Islands. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Fethiye. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Fethiye

5th Day… Checkout from the hotel for a full day tour of Xanthos, probably the most interesting of all the Lycian cities, Patara, with its Roman ruins and fine, sandy beach, and Letoon, the site of a Hellenistic theater and three temples. We end the day at Kas, a former fishing village nestled in a curving bay against a backdrop of steep cliffs. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Kas

Simena

6th Day... Departure from the hotel in Kas for a full-day tour of the area, which includes a visit to Demre (ancient Myra), the birthplace of St. Nicholas, better known to the world as Santa Claus. We take a local boat to visit the sunken city of Simena, located in one of Turkey's most spectacular bays. We then continue overland east along the Mediterranean coast to Antalya. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Antalya

Perge

7th Day... We depart our hotel in Antalya for a sightseeing tour of the city's historic district and surroundings, which includes a visit to the Roman cities of Perge and Aspendos, where we see the best preserved Roman theater in the world, dating back to the 2nd century AD, and Antalya Archaeological Museum, which houses an extensive and well-displayed collection of pre-historic, Greek and Roman archaeological and ethnographic artifacts.
